Ape Escape made me happy.

Most of the games that have been listed I have played, and while they were fun, never beat a bunch of friends taking turns to capture monkeys in nets.

Thumbs up

Currently playing Savage2 I'm addicted

It's a RTS/FPS hybrid (Humans V's the Beasts) with the FPS part based primarily around melee.

There's various Classes you can play. For example on the human team you can play as a Builder, re-supply ammo / repairing buildings / deploying shields etc.

The comparable class for the beasts would be the Conjurer; who can repair buildings also but that's where the similarity's end.
You supply mana rather than ammo, have a snare and poisonous spores instead of guns

Further into the game is where siege becomes useful, for destroying your enemy's structures with the mighty Behemoth

When you kill players you capture their soul. Souls become useful when your commander builds the Hell-shrine. You can then use those souls to become a hell-bourne unit like the Malphas

You can also play as the commander , giving orders, building facilities that give your teammates ability's (skills on their bar /improved armor etc). When commanding, you view the battlefield from above just like a traditional RTS.

There's a bit of a steep learning curve with the melee and you might find yourself getting owned for a while

This game just became free to play so there's no excuse for not trying it

i miss 2005 gw so much..even if it was unbalanced..for some reason..i loved it way more than the current one..maybe it was the fact that it was new and all...sigh! Q_Q

Star Wars Battlefront got me back into gaming after a long hiatus (think Quake II mods for lan party). Helps if you were a SW fan though. SWBF II sucked and tank god fer GW. Lovin L4D now too, that game ROCKS!

Um.

Baldur's Gate II.
Chrono Trigger.
The entire Monkey Island series, although I like number 3 the best.
Grim Fandango.
Guild Wars.
Left4Dead.
Final Fantasy VI and VII, although the former is dearer to me.

And I saw some Baldur's Gate II fans before me too, so much <3 all around?

Phew. games that made me happy:

Super Mario Kart on the snes.
Super Mario Brothers 1-2-3-world on the snes

Adventure games on the C64 and Amiga500 (monkey island, indiana jones, sam&max, DoTT, Full Throttle......etc)

Diablo 1+2 were pretty awesome, hell I liked Revenant! Dungeon Siege 1 (havent played 2), Neverwinter Nights... Guild Wars yeah baby!

GTA3,vice city, san andreas, Carmageddon!!! All chapters! Play that with friends on a local lan. fun guaranteed.

Splinter Cell series was cool. So was Morrowind. I'd try Assassin's Creed if I had it. Looks awesome leetsauce.

Most star wars games, Dark Forces, Jedi knight, JK2, KotOR I (but never finished it...).

HL1 and 2. Blue shift + opposing forces. Return to castle Wolfenstein.

Halo 3 with a mate. Quake 3. Tetris. Nothing like a bit of Devil May Cry either.
